Here are some steps to do it:
- Choose the row which you want to move.
- Hold the Shift Key.
- Move the cursor to the top of the selection. It will show the move icon, a four directional arrow icon.
- Press on the edge, with left mouse button while still holding the shift key from you keyboard.
- Move the row where you want to be shifted.
- When you see a bold line right under the row where you want to move this row, leave the mouse button.
- Quit the Shift-key and remember to stay the Shift key clicked till the end).If you want to move the whole row, you may choose the whole row, then follow the same steps.
Here are some important things about this method:
- You may move close rows or some cells from the contiguous rows. You can not move non-contiguous rows with this method. For Instance, you can not move row number 1 and 3 at the same time. However, you might move row number 6 and 7 at the same time by choosing it. You can move contiguous rows.
- If you move some cells in a row or column with this method, this will not impact any other data in the worksheet. In this example, any data outside (upper/lower or to the right/left of this table) will remain unaffected.
